Concerns over money dominate the thinking of pre-retirees, according to new research from Retirement Advantage. Conducted by YouGov, the study finds almost half (49%) of over 50s are worried about not having enough money in retirement to do the things they want to do, compared to just over a third (37%) who are concerned about health problems.

A recent Standard Life article suggests that in simple terms, you probably shouldnât be worried about recent market falls. Most of us are investing over the long term, and significant market falls happen periodically. Generally, the wrong thing to do when markets fall by a reasonable margin is to panic and sell out of the market â this just locks in a loss. The right thing to do is remember why youâre invested in the first place and make sure that rationale hasnât changed.
