Born in Norwich, Stephen and his wife Alison live in rural Suffolk with their two children, two dogs and two chickens, enjoying all aspects of country living.
He is an active member in his local community taking roles in the Parish Council – establishing both the Neighbourhood Plan and the Quiet Lanes initiative; and Chair of Governors at his children’s Primary school – successfully navigating a restructure and joining a Multi Academy Trust to ensure the school survives to celebrate its 150th anniversary.
Now an occasional cyclist and runner, he has completed numerous half and marathons – his longest being 50 miles along the Peddars Way; he focuses on keeping fit and organising the Strength & Conditioning training for his son’s rugby team.
