At Serenity, we are always hugely proud of the achievements of the team.
Last week, Vicky one of our Client Relationship Managers, based in our Cornwall office completed three successive London Marathons, earning a trio of Bronze Silver and Gold Medals (here she is pictured crossing the finishing line in 2018).
Despite being diagnosed with a heart condition and numerous surgeries, and having an implanted cardiac defibrillator fitted, since 2017 Vicky has been running and raising funds for FLEET – Front Line Emergency Equipment Trust who aim to install as many public use defibrillators in towns and villages around Cornwall as well as providing invaluable funding for mobile emergency support. Â

‘Each year has had it’s own special memories and challenges, 2018 was scorching hot and a real challenge. This year, running with a buddy certainly helped overcome the mental barriers and physical pain, and that would be my one piece of advice to anyone running – find a companion and help each other through it – just like many areas of life’
Vicky is now on a rapid road to recovery in time to take place in the famous Mid-day Furry Dance at Helston’s Flora Day on 8th May where she will be dancing with our Head Of Life Planning, Jeremy Squibb.
