Chartering the Cornish Waters

After over 1000 hours of studying and hard work, Head of Life Planning Jeremy Squibb recently received the wonderful news that he has achieved the award of Chartered Financial Planner.

A Chartered Financial Planner is someone with considerable academic qualification and market knowledge that backs up their advice and guidance. The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) consider a Chartered Financial Planner as the “gold standard of financial planning” for ethics and professionals.

As a Chartered Financial Planner has successfully passed through several CII Diploma’s and CII Advanced Diploma examinations in many areas including Pensions, Investments, and Financial Planning.

Beaming about the result of his final advanced level exam, Jeremy said …

“It seems a very long time ago since I set off along this path and sat my very first financial planning exam when I worked for Lloyds Bank many years ago.

It has been an incredibly valuable learning experience, significantly enhanced by the life planning and coaching work which we embrace within Serenity.

Lockdown gave me the opportunity to make the most of the additional time I had – and that is one of the most valuable lessons we can all learn – be intentional with your time”.

Meanwhile, he and his football team the Helston Dolphins U9s have not been quite so fortunate with their fundraising football match. Dolphins by name, but not by nature, three planned dates for the fundraiser have now been called off due to waterlogged pitches, however in the meantime, they have still raised over ÂŁ1,000 for Cornwall Down Syndrome Support Group.

“At the next available dry date, we will complete the fixture, and be able to present the final sum to the charity. We have just had donated an England Lyoness’ shirt from Manchester City player Chloe Kelly, which we plan to auction off in January”

You can still donate to the charity through this link …
