The year 2021 was certainly one that for a lot of us will be etched onto our memories forever. Most of us have had our own personal challenges and all of us have shared the global challenge of the persisting pandemic. We have never before experienced the same challenge as every other human on the planet. It’s been an adventure for sure.
This time of year is always a time to take stock. We can look back on the difficult times and see what we can learn from them and we can be grateful for the good times and how they saw us through.
And life goes on. Like it always does. And amidst the sadness and the loss there is always something to be grateful for. Often it’s in adversity that we get to see what is truly important to us.

Despite the headlines about Covid, the government’s actions, vaccines and supply chain issues, the markets quietly pushed on. However, we have been saying for a number of years that we are due a market correction and so far this has not happened. We don’t believe in forecasting or trying to time the markets so if things change, we know it is something we have been expecting and part of the investment experience.
