Ian Kemp CFP, AFPC
Financial Life Planner
Ian joined Serenity in the autumn of 2016 with more than 20 years experience in financial services.
His focus is helping people understand what they really want to do with their lives and then working together to make sure the money is in place to make it all happen. He specialises in encouraging people to live fulfilled lives throughout retirement – enjoying the good years, living securely as health fails and leaving a legacy for family and community.
He is Treasurer and a founder member of Later Life Hub North Yorkshire, which was set up as a single source of information on products and services for people aged 55 and over.
Ian and his wife Tess live in rural North Yorkshire and enjoy spending time in the countryside. Their greatest pleasure is being with their growing family, particularly treasuring being part of the development of their young grandchildren.
They like travelling, both within the UK and abroad. Favourite destinations so far are the Galapagos, Costa Rica, India and Jordan.
He is a proud, although often frustrated fan, of Norwich City FC, enjoying the camaraderie of supporting an unpredictable team.
Ian’s greatest achievements so far have been running full and half marathons – the most challenging of which was round and up Snowdon – and climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. His claim to fame was an appearance in EastEnders.
